                     Clan Tags

If you recently officially joined the clan and would like to know how we setup our Clan Tags, then simply read what's on this page to find out. The first two boxes just tell you a brief idea on what kind of nicknames you can create over what server (WOL or GameSpy). If you know that already, then jump over to the last two boxes to start setting up your Clan Tag nicknames.

Westwood Online - Nickname limits

Nicknames that are created on XWIS servers over Westwood Online must have these rules.

  1. Maximum of 9 characters.
  2. Letters & numbers only.
  3. No special characters at all.

Games that are on Westwood Online:

  • Command & Conquer/Covert Operations
  • C&C Red Alert/Counterstrike/Aftermath
  • C&C Tiberian Sun/Firestorm
  • C&C Red Alert 2/Yuri's Revenge
  • C&C Renegade

Gamespy - Nickname limits

Nicknames that are created over GameSpy must have these rules.

  1. Maximum of 15 characters.
  2. Letters & Numbers.
  3. Some special characters are allowed.

Games that are on GSA:

  • C&C Renegade
  • C&C Generals
  • C&C Generals Zero Hour
  • C&C 3 Tiberium Wars
  • C&C Kane's Wrath
  • C&C Red Alert 3

Westwood Online - Our Clan Tags

 Follow these rules to creating you Clan Tags for Westwood Online games.

***This goes for the following games***

  • Command & Conquer/Covert Operations
  • C&C Red Alert/Counterstrike/Aftermath
  • C&C Tiberian Sun/Firestorm - XWIS Clan Manager, No need for a Clan Tag.
  • C&C Red Alert 2/Yuri's Revenge - XWIS Clan Manager, No need for a Clan Tag.
  • C&C Renegade - XWIS Clan Manager, You still NEED Clan Tag.

Clan Tag Rules:

  1. Add "WSP" (No quotes) before a shorter/simpler nickname.
  2. "WSP" must be capitalized.
  3. The shortened/simpler nickname after "WSP" must make sense.
  4. If you need help, you must seek help.

Examples:

  • G0NE2W4R  ::  WSPg0ne
  • MaMMyT4nK  ::  WSPMaMMy
  • DeAThW1sH  ::  WSPDeATh

Exceptions:

** As you already noticed, there is not need to create a Clan Tag for C&C Tiberian Sun and C&C Red Alert 2 (And their expansions). This is because XWIS has a Clan Manager for these games (You must join -WSP- on it) and it will automatically recognize you as a member when you join the clan. So it will show [-wsp-] on all members when they are in lobbies or when the cursor gets moved over their nicknames.
But it wont hurt to create a Clan Tag to reserve it. If so, then follow the above^ Clan Tag Rules.

** C&C Renegade does have a XWIS Clan Manager and you must also join -WSP- on it. But unfortunately, they don't show [-wsp-] when you join our clan anywhere. So there is still a need for a Clan Tag  here. Be sure to follow the above^ Clan Tag Rules.

Gamespy - Our Clan Tags

 Follow these rules to creating nicknames over GameSpy.    

***This goes for the following games***

  • C&C Renegade
  • C&C Generals/Zero Hour
  • C&C 3 Tiberium Wars/Kane's Wrath - Clan Manager, No need for a Clan Tag.
  • C&C Red Alert 3 - Clan Manager, No need for a Clan Tag.

Clan Tag Rules:

  1.  Add "-WSP-" (No quotes) before your nickname.
  2. "-WSP-" must be capitalized and have a dash before and after it.
  3. Your nickname comes after "-WSP-". Use a nickname that everyone recognizes or will recognize. 
  4. Seek help if you need it.

Examples:

  • G0NE2W4R  ::  -WSP-G0NE2W4R
  • MaMMyT4nK  ::  -WSP-MaMMyT4nK
  • DeAThW1sH  ::  -WSP-DeAThW1sH

Exceptions:

** Since C&C 3 and Red Alert 3 (And their expansions) have a Clan Manager that also displays that you are in -WSP- while in-game, there is no need to create a Clan Tag.
But you are still able to create a Clan Tag without punishment. Just follow the above^ rules.
